Open Source Hosting
Open Source Project Hosting
Hosting for open source projects, demos, and developer tools — with developer-friendly pricing.
Open source projects need a home on the web — a live demo, a documentation site, a showcase deployment. We provide affordable hosting for open source projects with the same infrastructure quality we use for commercial clients: Docker support, automatic SSL, custom domains, and CI/CD integration.
Why Open Source Projects Need Good Hosting
A great open source project with a broken demo site loses adopters. When developers visit your project's website and it's slow, down, or running on a free tier that falls asleep between visits — they question the project's quality. Live demos should be live, fast, and representative of what the project can actually do.
We host open source project demos and documentation sites with the same infrastructure we use for commercial projects. Fast, reliable, custom domain, automatic HTTPS. Your project deserves a real web presence.
Our Open Source Projects
We practice what we preach. Dark Space Labs has open source projects on GitHub: Dreadnought-DDNS (a self-hostable dynamic DNS system with a Next.js 14 frontend and FastAPI backend), and other tooling we've built and released publicly. These projects run on our own infrastructure using the same hosting setup we offer to others.
We believe in contributing to the open source ecosystem that our work depends on. Supporting open source projects financially and technically is part of how we participate in the developer community.
Application to the Open Source Program
Open source hosting pricing is available for projects that are publicly licensed (MIT, Apache, GPL, or similar) and whose source is publicly accessible on GitHub, GitLab, or similar. We review applications to verify the project is actively maintained and genuinely open source (not open-core with a private production version).
